 Concert Performance Assessment

Concert Performance Assessment, or CPA, is an opportunity for ensembles from member schools to perform two or three concert selections for adjudication by a panel of judges. Each group is also evaluated on their sight-reading ability. Ensembles are rated on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the highest rating possible. Ensembles may qualify for the State Concert Festival depending on their rating.

Directors may register for CPA and view the graded music lists on the "Members Only" page. Check the calendar for event dates and deadlines.

The Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association was organized in 1938.

The purpose of our organization is to promote the study of instrumental music through

band and orchestra programs in the public and private schools of Middle Tennessee.

The MTSBOA is an affiliate member of the Tennessee Music Education Association.
